"I come into the presence of still water, and feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. And for a time, I rest in the peace of the world and am free"
My own search for stillness, self-awareness and freedom led me to experience the power of touch, in the form of healing and massage, in the early 90's. I was so inspired by their positive and transformative effect on my physical, emotional and spiritual health that I changed career! I have worked professionally as a Massage therapist for over ten years and during that time have developed a unique style of massage, which is deeply transformative. I have also trained in Healing and Craniosacral therapy and have found that these more subtle approaches facilitate even deeper positive change.
I currently practice at my clinic in Langley, Berkshire as well 'On-Site' in local companies. I have worked at a clinic specialising in ME / Chronic Fatigue at the Healthy Living Centre, London and have also worked at the 7th July Assistance Centre, helping those involved in the terrorist attacks in London and around the world. I have recently completed training in Shamanic Healing and Trauma Skills and am integrating these more and more into my practice. I continue to seek inspiration from my spiritual teachers, and my passion for meditation and yoga helps me to sustain the peace and freedom I have discovered along my journey. Other passions include being in nature, sustainable living, the environment and singing.
I am trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Acupressure Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Healing and Counseling skills. I am fully qualified, insured and supervised in my work and continue to participate in courses to update and refine my skills. More recently I have trained as a yoga teacher, and am a 500 hours qualified teacher. I completed my 200 hour training with Yogacampus and then went on to do a 300 hour ISHTA yoga teacher training integrating Hatha yoga with Auyveda and Tantra I regularly assist my teacher Katrina Repka, and am continuing my training in the Ishta lineage. I am also teaching yoga nidra and meditation on the next 300 hour ISHTA teacher training course beginning September 2017. I have completed Gary Carter's advanced anatomy training, as well as attending many of his workshops, and am integrating a more Scaravelli approach to yoga in my teaching. I will be undertaking a 6 month training with John Stirk in 2018 . I am an insured member of the British Wheel of Yoga.
I have a deep understanding and respect for the body, mind and spirit, and their interconnection, and offer healing and intuitive touch in a supportive and safe environment.
